Remarkably elegant Western mountain landscape oil painting by noted Bay Area artist Michael Sarraille.
Original oil on canvas. Dimensions 14" x 11". The frame measures 18.25" x 15.5".
Painting needs a cleaning. Frame shows dings and nicks.
The painting shows some craquelure at the upper left in the trees, and could use a cleaning in the upper right portion on the painting (please see all images). Even with these condition issues, we consider this to be one of the finest realism paintings in our collection. With a closer look, we think you'll agree. This is really a beautiful illuminated scene of the Rocky Mountain Front, possibly in Montana.
Michael Sarraille expresses the beauty of the land in his works. Intricate in his detail, yet simple in his compositions, this unique combination brings to focus a feeling of unpretentious realism. His mountains stand tall with a magnificence of crisp beauty. Sarraille has delved into the areas of both surrealism and realism.
