Bought in Avignon, France, this Louis XV leather chair has carvings on the edges of the entire back; unusual and lovely! Solid walnut, the chair features curved arms, upholstered with leather at the center with brass tack lining, flowing out from the back into carved hand rests over incredibly carved arm supports that curve in to join the seat frame with an S-scroll completing the design in perfect harmony with the flow of the seat back and cabriole legs. The apron of each chair is exquisitely carved with a shell and floral bouquet, and the four cabriole legs join the frame with floral carved knees.#6449
