This antique pair of architectural pedestal columns from Italy, standing approximately three feet in height, are gesso and gilt over wood. The round-shaped and fluted shafts have flattened tops and bottoms with hand-carved, ornate, curled acanthus leaf motif details typical Roman Corinthian style. The gold gilt finish is enhanced by a wonderful warm patina about the leaves, and great chippy bits. These antique Italian Corinthian pedestals, with their smooth and flat tops, are ready to display your perfectly potted plants, or sculptural works of art within your home. less
