Artist proof lithograph of "Boy with Bicycle" by Nicola Simberi, dated 1967. Simberi was an Italian artist (1927-2012) who was primarily known for a neo-Impressionist style with bold contrasting colors. His work is regarded as some of the most important in contemporary Italian history. Label on back of frame from Crane-Korchin Gallery of Long Island, New York. Primarily blue and red composition depicts a young boy with back turned to viewer stopped on a bicycle. He is looking toward a building in background of the painting.
