Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown ruby red, bubbles and gold flecks Italian art glass decorative spike corners bowl / ashtray. Documented to the Barovier e Toso company. The piece is very thick, and profusely filled with heavy gold leaf throughout the inside and outside. The controlled bubbles or "Bullicante" technique makes a unique pattern on the outside of the bowl. The gold gathers around the bubbles making them really stand out. Would make a great display piece on any console table, credenza or dresser. Use it as a catchall, candy dish or ashtray. Mid-century era. Measures 5 3/4" x 5 1/2" on the sides x 3" high. It is 8" across if you measure diagonally.
