These exceptional Shepard Fairey 'Two Sides Of Capitalism' (Good/Bad) Bank Notes are now regarded as rare and highly sought-after collectibles. They are meticulously detailed, limited edition banknotes, both front and back beautifully designed, allowing you to appreciate the duality inherent in capitalism.
Originally introduced by Shepard Fairey, also known as Obey Giant, these banknotes were exclusively available during the 'Nineteeneighty foria' exhibition at The Truman Brewery in London in 2007. Each note is a double-sided screen print on genuine banknote paper, created in 2007 by the artist Shepard Fairey (Obey), titled "Two Sides of Capitalism - Power to the People."
The two sides of this dummy banknote symbolize the contrasting facets of capitalism, portraying both its positive and negative aspects. This Obey Giant ticket was specially crafted for the opening of Shepard Fairey's E. PLURIBUS VENOM Show at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York. Please note that it is no longer in production and has become a rare collector's item.
This banknote was only available at the opening of the "E PLURIBUS VENOM" exhibition at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery in New York and Los Angeles in 2007.
Now sold out and no longer printed, it has now become a collector's item like all Shepard Fairey's works.
They have never been available for sale and only distributed to the gallerys guests, collectors and fans who attended the opening of NYC and LA exhibitions.
This exceptional Shepard Fairey piece is printed on high-quality paper, measuring approximately 3 1/2 × 6 inches, and is titled "2 Sides of Capitalism (Good/Bad)" on authentic banknote paper from 2007. The edition is limited, with the exact number unknown, and the notes are neither signed nor numbered.
