This Paul Cezanne rare vintage 1952 authentic lithograph print The Bather 1885, is a very special and unique piece to add to your collection. The lithograph print features an original artwork by the artist Paul Cezanne titled The Bather created in 1885.
Paul Cezanne ( 1839 - 1906 ) was a French artist and Post Impressionist painter who laid the foundations of the transition from 19th Century conception of artistic endeavor to a new and radically different world of art in the 20th Century. Cozen is said to have formed the bridge between late 19th Century Impressionism and the early 20th Century new line of artistic inquiry. Both Matisse and Picasso are said to have remarked that Cezanne is the father of us all .
The rare out of print authentic vintage lithograph print is a page from an original monograph portfolio of Cezanne prints published in 1952 by Harry N. Abrams New York, printed in The United States. The lithograph print plate i attached to the page with a method called tipping where it is attached by hand on two corners. Underneath on the page, below the lower right corner of the print, the title, date, size, and location of the painting is printed.
The lithograph print plate measures 7 1/2 W X 10 H, on a page that is 10 3/4 W X 14 1/2 H. It is in excellent vintage condition consistent with age and light signs of handling. It has never been framed. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
