An exquisite enamel and pate de verre link necklace designed in Limoges, France. Enameled domed trapeze copper elements are linked together with gilt metal framing to a turbogas or serpentine chain. This popular 1950s and 1960s technique named "cookies" was used in Limoges to create jewelry. Copper pieces were silver-foiled or gild-foiled, decorated with clear enamel, and topped with colored fused glass, creating fabulous colors with an intense glow.
Assorted white, emerald green, pink salmon, and gold colors over a silver foil background. Barrel screw closing clasp. No visible signature.
Measurements: The necklace's total length is 18.32 in long (46.5 cm) x 0.94 in wide (2.4 cm) - The front 5 pieces are 5.69 in wide (14.5 cm) x 0.94 in high (2.4 cm).
