Antique Italian Baroque Patinaed Giltwood Mirror is a marvelous example of the genre, with flowing, naturalistic lines and an exquisitely contoured and scrolled border for a wonderfully intricate effect. A stylized foliate crest-on-crest appears centered on the top of the arch, with foliate scrolls and flowers cascading down the shoulders and wrapping completely around the frame, meeting at the center of the bottom with an intriguing fleur de lys atop a scallop shell design. At numerous places on the frame a scrollwork or carved flourish extends out over the glass for intriguing visual appeal. The generously sized mirror provides a lovely reflection of your room and amplifies ambient light. A wonderfully artistic accent!
