Almost a yard high, this candlestick probably was created for use in a church. Perhaps...
Judging from the organic, flowing, Art Nouveau-inspired ironwork, my estimate pegs it at about a hundred years old -- or older.
As you can see from the photos, it's been outside for some time and as a result there's an abundance of rust and shedding of the original painted (blue-green) surface -- nothing that can't be cleaned up if one desires. It you want to take the time and trouble to cut off the brass candle-holder inside the bobeche, and thereby make this a plant stand, have at it!
Statuesque, decorative, a sure winner for the home or garden!
Measurements: about 32 3/4 high. The feet have a spread of about 7 1/4 inches.
