This Really is a Great Looking as well as Rare and Unusual Authentic Antique 1 Gallon Steel Milk Can. Circa Very Early 1900s. It Comes From the Days of the Traveling House Call Doctors and was Probably an Item that was Brought Along on Visits - Possibly in Birthing Situations. It is Completely Hand Made out of Thick - Heavy Gauge Steel. The Locking Lid Has a Hinged Padlock Style Hasp - Very Unusual. The Front has a Solder Attached Embossed Copper Label that Reads DOCTOR E H NILES DANVERS MASSACHUSETTS. NOTE Also That it is Stamped - Embossed on The Back of the Handle with The Doctors Initials E H N - Please See 5th Photograph. It is in Very Good All Original - Untouched - As Has Survived Over the Years Condition - Displays Beautifully. Imperfections Noted - It has a Few Side Dents Also NOTE THAT THE LID IS TIGHTLY STUCK IN PLACE - NOT REMOVABLE AT THIS TIME. Perfect for a Country Primitive Rustic Kitchen Setting.
