German sculptor Nando Kallweit produces figurative bronze sculptures and reliefs with aquiline and a graceful modern appeal. Kallweit is inspired by seemingly disparate cultures; the strength of ancient Egyptian sculptures, the dynamic forms of the modern Cubist movement, and an observation of our contemporary and future existence. Combined with a considerate approach, Kallweit renders archaic materials, such as blackened oak and bronze, with a palpable sensitivity. These forms are varied tirelessly in his creations.
This 12-inch tall by 3-inch wide by 3-inch deep unique figurative bronze sculpture is named Trisha I. Each of Nando's individual figures is named according to their distinct personalities as visualized by the artist. This work is created using the lost wax method – with the ceramic mold shattered in order to reveal the bronze figure. Such a process renders each artwork completely unique. This sculpture can be placed on any flat surface. Kallweit's unique sculptures can also be grouped to create a harmonious display.
Kallweit reduces the figures to simple gestures and movements creating sculptures with a wonderful interplay between art and design. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping are available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included.
Close observation of each piece leads to the discovery of unexpected details in the design which conveys emotional robustness. Kallweit moves continuously while creating his sculptures. He works with intensity and energy that he must balance with a sensitive and considerate approach. Kallweit’s work is permeated by a longing for the unknown, the elusive, the divine, and the spiritual. The visual impact of his metal sculptures leaves a deep impression on the viewer.
Kallweit was born in 1972 in Schwerin, Germany. After completing engineering school, Kallweit began a successful career as a freelance sculptor. He currently lives in Essen, Germany. His work has since become coveted for permanent public installations for German municipalities and museums. His sculptures have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections worldwide.
