There is Also a Minor Surface Glaze Imperfection at The Base and a Few At the Top Rim but These are Factory Flaws That Would have Absolutely Occurred in the Making - Kiln Firing Process. Added Information - Stoneware Pieces Such a These were Fired in Very Large Kilns with Many Other Pieces at the Same Time - In Large Batches. less

This Really is an Exceptionally Nice Authentic Antique American Country Primitive Stoneware Preserves Jar - Crock. Circa Mid 19th Century. Smaller Approx. 2 Quart Size Storage Capacity. It has a Classic American Salt Glaze Exterior on a Stone Grey Body. It is Extensively Hand Decorated with a Total of 3 Wonderful Large Navy Blue Stylized Flower Designs. It has No Maker or Other Markings but it was Most Likely Made in Pennsylvania or Maryland. It is in Very Good Strong - Sound - Usable Condition and it Displays Beautifully. Imperfection Noted - It has a Very Fine Hairline Crack that Extends Down From The Bottom of One of the Flowers to the Base - This Can Best be Seen in My Last 2 Photographs.
