Bender died … more A large abstract Figural oil on canvas, signed and dated front and back by May Bender, 1972, framed. Bender died in 2011 and this painting was acquired directly from her estate. It is executed in warm earth tones and at 43” x 56”, it makes an impressive statement. There are a few minor spatters on the canvas in the upper left which don’t detract from the overall impact; otherwise, condition is good.

Bender, a lifetime painter, produced art during her successful career as head of her industrial/package design organization and continued her full time endeavors as a fine art painter, exhibiting in galleries in New York and New Jersey. less
