Description: Hand-carved in Italy, this limestone garden bench features elaborate foliate motifs, including a fleur de lys and acanthus leaves. Consisting … more Hand-carved in Italy, this limestone garden bench features elaborate foliate motifs, including a fleur de lys and acanthus leaves. Consisting of six carved pieces of stone, the beautiful bench has developed a phenomenal dark gray patina over the light gray stone. The four-inch thick seat with luxurious quarter-round molding is flanked by two arms with a slightly recessed corbel fronted by a curled acanthus leaf on top of a volute scroll. Directly under each arm is a shapely foot also embellished with a partial leaf curl over a scroll. The stone that comprises the backrest is adorned with two lively floral and foliate margents that emanate from the base of a shaped shield. The shield is charged with a large fleur de lys, located in the center of the backrest. A pair of volutes form the arching crest, terminating in acanthus cups with a trail of beading. With a seating area of over five feet, our carved limestone garden bench can comfortably seat three adults in any outdoor setting. less
