According to previous owner the item has been in their family (from husband's side) for 150 years and traveled with her from USA to Australia, to Europe, and back to USA.
We had no reason to doubt her claim given that she was more concerned with it being restored and appreciated than with what she got for it. Please judge by self from photos.
Only restoration the frame needed was a good dust cleaning, gluing back a prating seam, and fresh backing paper.
Glass in surprisingly good condition and needed nothing.
