This wonderful salt cellar dish is made of glass and electroplated nickel silver. This piece is stamped as being made in England, see pictures, and it is a salt cellar used for holding and dispensing salt at the table. This piece can likely be dated to the late 19th century - early 20th century as this is when glass liners were added to salt cellars to avoid corrosion to the metal. The glass liner to this piece is made in a stunning cobalt blue color, and it sits inside of a gorgeous silver basket with lovely cut-out designs and a beautiful ribbed design to the rim.
The measurements are: height=2" width=4 3/4" depth=3 1/4" approx.
