This silk embroidery of Baizi (Hundreds of Children) playing in Spring is hand stitched on the silk fabric. The allusion of Baizi first came from the "Book of Songs" which praised the numerous princes and descendants of the King, Zhou Wen. The pictures often use homonyms and meanings implying many blessings and longevity, many children and grandchildren, prosperous descendants and continuation of generations. In this picture, there are a lot of children playing with kite, dragon and fire cracker, etc.
