These is Also a Fine Hairline Crack on The Back Side that Extends Approx. 4 Inches Down from The Top Rim. These Types of Stoneware Items were Made for Everyday Utilitarian Use and Minor Imperfections Such as These are Not Uncommon. NOTE! That the Top Rim is Not Perfectly Round This Being a Factory Flaw and Would have Absolutely Occurred in the Making - Kiln Firing Process. Added Information - Stoneware Pieces Such a These were Fired in Very Large Kilns with Many Other Pieces at the Same Time - In Large Batches. It has No Other Issues and it is Strong - Sound and Perfectly Usable. less

This Really is an Exceptionally Nice Authentic Antique American Country Primitive Stoneware Storage Crock - Jar. Circa Mid 19th Century. Small - Approx. 1 Gallon Storage Capacity Size with Side Handles -"Ears". It has a Classic American Salt Glaze Exterior on a Sand - Greige Color Body. The Front in Hand Decorated with a Wonderful - Rare and Unusual Navy Blue Stylized Grapevine and Grapes Design. It has No Maker or Other Markings but it was Most Likely Made in Pennsylvania or Possibly Up State New York. It is in Very Good All Original as has Survived Over the Years Condition and it Displays Nicely. Imperfections Noted - The Front has a Rim Chip with a Very Fine Hairline Crack that Extends Down a Few Inches.
