Features two front slots for stacking … more This is an old grocery general store metal counter dispenser for chocolate Tootsie Rolls. Features two front slots for stacking the candy with short phrases behind them. Phrases include: "Oh! So Good!", "Take Some Home", "Delicious Candy", "The Perfection Confection", "Tootsie Rolls Bring Smiles" among others, and "Tootsie Rolls; 5 cents, Better Than Ever" at the top of the display.

The metal on this piece shows some oxidation and light surface rust, and there is some staining, possibly paint, on the front; I have not tried to clean it off. Not sure of age, but guessing this one dates to the 1920s - 1940s. A unique conversation piece for sure! less
