This Really is a Great Looking Antique American Wood Shipping Crate - Advertising and Country Store Tea Display Box. Circa Very Early 1900s. This Box Would have Contained - As the Original Paper Label on The Front States F.P. GARRETTSON & CO. EXPOSITION TEA - 150 FRONT ST. NEW YORK - 16 & 20 WASHINGTON SQUARE NEWPORT RHODE ISLAND - PATENT JUNE 20 1899 - "THIS TEA WAS CHOSEN BY THE BOARD OF LADY MANAGERS OF THE NEW YORK STATE BUILDING AT THE WORLDS FAIR". It is made Out of Pine Wood with "Box Joint" Style Corners. The Lid - Top Panel Still Retains its Original Cloth Hinge that Still Works Well. Note Also That It Also Has the Original Brass Swing Hook and Eyelet Style Clasp. It is in Very Good Original Condition - Displays Nicely.
