Gerard Bignolais was a French sculptor and artist, 1937-2007. He mostly worked on sculptures of human bodies illustrating life at it's raw form. In this 2007 limited edition are basel box entitled plages 115, it is an interactive installation of "miniature paper and mixed-media clothes not only for the beach/plages and also for a lady's traveling wardrobe. It transcends time and place. He illustrated people. Family and life in this mixed-media piece.The edition is 188/400. It comes with all the descriptive papers all in French. It folds up like a suiticase of cardboard.
It comes in a box that opens up like a traveling wardrobe suitcase with miniature lock and keys. All the clothes hand on two doll racks on either side. This was never used and is in the same condition as was purchased at Art Basel. This is inscribed Suzanne on the top as this was the client. It is 16" W x 6.5" H x 10" D that is the entire mini suitcase cardboard inscribed box.
