This original watercolor painting by Los Angeles-based artist Barbara Embree depicts a voyeuristic view of Port Royal, an area of France just southeast of Paris. The soft, indistinct shapes of the tree branches create a type of frame around the image while the boat in the foreground cruises by in what seemingly feels like a laissez-faire pace.
This piece is one from a series of paintings in our “Tour of Paris” collection, which takes the viewer on an artistic stroll through the city of love.
The piece is painted on arches paper, measures 10" x 8" and is in pristine condition. Original artist signature in the lower right. An additional artist signature and title are located on the back of the piece.
