This Milton Avery rare vintage 1982 lithograph print framed Walker Art Center poster " Seated Blonde " 1946, is an incredibly special and unique piece to add to your collection. The lithograph print poster is printed in 1982 for the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis Minnesota. It features an original artwork created by the artist Milton Avery titled " Seated Blonde " in 1946.
Milton Avery ( 1885 - 1965 ) is a non traditional American Modern painter. While clearly representational, Avery's work is seminal to American Abstract painting as it focuses on color relations and is not concerned with creating the illusion of depth. Often thought of as the American " Matisse " because of his colorful, imaginative, and poetic bold creative use of drawing & color, that set him apart from the other painters of his era. Avery's paintings are included in the collections of many of the worlds most prestigious museums.
The rare out of print lithograph print framed poster measures 22" W X 36 1/4" H X 3/4" D. It is framed with plexiglass in a classic modern black satin finish Nielsen metal frame molding, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.
It is in very good vintage condition consistent with age, light signs of handling and use. There is minor light toning and very minor surface wear from age in the lower bottom margin area. Please see photos for condition reference. It is now being offered here for an excellent price. less
