Vintage, early to mid 20th century, brass bookends, depicting Rodin's "The Thinker" statue. Produced by The Philadelphia Manufacturing Company. The lower, "seat" portion of each bookend is brown enamel on brass, adding visual dimension with the exposed, aged brass of the upper, "body" portions. Red, felt padding is affixed to the bottom of each bookend. Maker's mark with manufacturer's write-up is affixed to felt.
