This … more Offered is an Art Deco era, sea green Fish Planter, designed by Royal Hickman with original foil label attached. This design was made in a California Factory believed to have been made in the 1940's (Possibly designed for Vernon Potteries prior to his move to Haeger Pottery). It is in excellent vintage condition with one small area of wear to the paint on the edge of the fish's rear fin -see photo. No chips, cracks, repairs. Clean on the inside as well as the outside. Please see all photos for detail on condition. Most of the original foil label is intact, reading: “California Designed by Royal Hickman”.

Royal Hickman designed pottery, glass, silver, aluminum, furniture, lamps, and other items. Mr. Hickman operated his own pottery in Tampa, Florida, during the 1940s.
