A rare and most charming antique early American (possibly Revolutionary War era) painted wood single door farmhouse kitchen jelly / jam cupboard. circa 1770-1820
Born in the Colonial United States in the late 18th / early 19th century, Pennsylvania / Mid-Atlantic region, primitive hand-crafted farm house construction, most likely handmade by a skilled PA farmer / early settler with no formal training, having a rectangular work top with visible hand-cut dovetail joinery and partial raised gallery, over one large cabinet door with later latch, opening to spacious shelved interior, plank boarded back, rising on bracket feet.
Presents splendidly, featuring the original old red paint pigment finish, with beautifully aged faded warm rustic heavily distressed patina.

Good original unrestored antique condition, especially considering its well over over 200 years old. Heavily worn, faded, mellow warm rustic distressed patina over the whole. Retaining original antique character marks and rustic charm throughout, including primitive construction and natural aging having the door hung low with a large gap over it and not securely closing, all wear consistent with 200 years of age and indicative of use.
