This piece is a vintage tin point-of-sale Spanish advertisement for French bottled water that was supposed to aid digestion.
It was printed in Barcelona at the printshop of G. De-Andreis.
There are holes in all four corners as well as center top and bottom suggesting that this piece was intended to be nailed or screwed into place, rather than hang from a string.
There is also light wear around these holes which tells us that the piece was used.
We love the aesthetic simplicity of typographic pieces such as this one, and the stories their condition evokes for the imagination. less
