We adore this cheeky piece of folk art; worn paint and all. Our favorite is the second head which is a pirate with an eye patch. The totem was carved from one solid piece of wood that appears to be red cedar. The paint is worn and shows wear throughout and the carving is crude but it gives it that certain je ne sais quoi. The top head appears to be missing a metal squiggly piece that can be seen on the right side. There is a saw-tooth hanger on the back. We could see this in a man cave, tiki bar or as a fun way to add a touch of whimsy to your decor. We were told this was carved in NW Michigan in the late 40s or early 50's. Please review the photographs to see the condition details up close.
