Affixed with … more A very fine late 19th century Harvard Student lamp featuring a silver plated cast metal cornucopia shaped body. Affixed with an ornate multi-step stem, and circular base; an angel on one end, and a figural griffin handle. A ruby red slip chimney, and a red ball shade with lion and fleur-de-lis decorations in gold tracery. Fitted with a period "Hinks London" converted burner (the burner is fitted with a small candelabra base) when twisted, the electrical conversion can be lifted up. This burner is installed so as to preserve the original kerosene burner. There is some minor play in the fitment of the electrical converted burner. Maker of the body and glass shade is unverified. less
