Stunning and scarce piece. This is a smaller-scale but spacious desk featuring a heavily carved pillar support and matching drawer fronts.
The stylized botanical details are unusual and incredible.
Featuring four drawers and lots of desktop surface, as well as plenty of leg-space given the pillar design.
We have not located manufacturer's marks or labels on the pieces, but the cerusing as well as the design heavily reference 1940s work by Paul Frankl for Brown Saltman and design contemporaries. less
