Very tall 6 stack lawyer / barrister bookcase. Beautiful tiger (quarter sawn) oak. It has the nice metal side straps. Refinished many years ago. Based on the construction it is most likely a Globe Wernicke but the labels were removed during the refinishing process.
Nice size tall compartments. Most of the ones made were for the common size books at the time ... shorter. Today books are taller which make this bookcase nice to find. We feel that this is the tallest 6 stacker that we've ever found in 40+ years of business.
Comes apart for moving purposes: each stack is a separate piece and the top and bottom are separate pieces. Doors slide up and into each box for easy access to your books or collectibles.
This is an original piece made in the early 1900s or 1910s
