This retired transportation sign used to hang over a Brussels tram stop, printed neatly in French and Flemish. Long since begun to fade, the chipped paint and discoloration trades a poetic display of age in place of painted letters. Textured beige on one side and chipped dark gray on the other, the line number “52” is cut from behind with striking red diagonal to create an impactfully utilitarian yet pleasing aesthetic. See less
