I do see minor scuffs on the rear side, the right side and on the top of the base. These are shown in the photographs. This lamp with drawer was well handcrafted indeed, with foresight in regards to the drawer. The drawer slides smoothly, opens and closes easily. The wicker shade is in marvelous shape, looking from all aspects.

This is an awesome Tramp Art table lamp. As you know, all Tramp Art is intricately unique. This lamp features a pump handle that turns the light on and off. I do not know what the black pipe going to the trough is made of (?) Most of the wood appears to have a thin coat of old varnish, not peeling, just old and not as “shiny”, which is appealing to me.
The drawer opens and closes easily and is somehow locked inside, as you cannot take it out. Great design craftsmanship concerning the lamp. When moving it,
I was not holding the drawer and it came out but did not fall on the floor…
The wicker shade is not new, they just meld together with the round bulb that reminds me of the moon and sun. Stunning!
I did have the original socket lamp base professionally replaced with an Uno lamp base to better accommodate the top fitting (Uno) for the wicker shade. The original socket lamp base did not fit the shade correctly and it moved the shade when you turned the light on and off. I have the original brass hardware for the socket, if you would want to change it back at some time.
The round bulb is included, not new. Make sure to always use a LED light bulb, as they create less heat and with the filtered wicker shade, a better choice anyway for presentation, as a stark bright light would not work. The photographs do not depict how awesome the round bulb due to the lighting of the room and the wicker shade.
I find that when viewing this lamp, it’s best place is just above eye level, to experience it’s intricate details…I had it on the kitchen counter, while admiring it, then “more so” admired it while sitting on the kitchen chair, ever so slightly looking up at it.
The lamp base without the shade dimensions are:
Width - 12.25”
Depth - 7.25”
Length - 12”
I do not know the real age of this Tramp Art Lamp I am giving an educated guess. If you have any questions or want more pictures, I would be happy to oblige any inquiries. less
