Created in China during the midcentury period, this red lacquered leather trunk features a rectangular lid with stitched accents on the edge, opening thanks to a traditional brass lock with scalloped accents, to reveal a fabric lined interior. The used fabric, in fair condition, is blue with a red calligraphic label. The sides present lateral C-scroll handles on delicate floral backplate, allowing the piece to be moved more easily.
