This stunning rotating kinetic sculpture was designed in Italy in the 1970s. The six circles are made of Lucite in a smoke gray color and stand on a frosted clear Lucite base. The six concentric circles that constitute this astrolabe pivot on a different axis from the previous circle, thus creating thousands of possible combinations for a surprisingly and constantly different design. There is no visible maker's mark.
