Tall (early 20") and impressive figure of a Chinese male scholar holding a calligraphy brush, splendidly robed. His royal blue jacket is decorated with dragon rank badges and his yellow tunic with crashing waves. He wears the traditional neck beads and his long hair is plaited.
Comes complete with carved hard wood stand.
Republic Period.
Superb statue for a mantle, table or alcove.
