This pair of benches were described as Empire by D’ecor de Paris where I bought them in 2007 for my … more This pair of benches were described as Empire by D’ecor de Paris where I bought them in 2007 for my Spanish colonial home in Los Ángeles.

I was fascinated by the eclectic combination of Empire style with the Mohagony finish and gilded ornaments, and yet a mix of French and Spanish baroque with the inverted half moons, and the Georgian lions paw!

They are upholstered with high quality fabric that does not fade and the trim is exquisite and it was expensive.

I used them as foot stools at times in the living-room, and now at each side of a dresser in the master bedroom.

They are as versatile and useful as they are beautiful. less
