Authentic Marcel Breuer Wassily chair. In need of leather restoration! Made in Italy in early Mid- Century. Black leather straps. Chrome in excellent condition. Tubular steel with welded cap ends. Vintage sticker on bottom, Made in Italy. This indicates that it is made by Gavina.
Leather in need of repair/restoration or replacement. Original leather arm straps, back and seat. Seat and arm strap broken.
riginally designed around 1920. Of course, this is an important museum piece because it started the whole modern furniture movement.
I love it because of the sculptural lines and minimalism, and unmistakable Mid-Century classicism!! less
