These Types of Imperfections are Actually Quite Common Since These Pieces were Produced and Fired in Very Large Kilns in Batches with Many Other Pieces at the Same Time. less

This Really is a Great Looking Authentic Antique American Country Primitive Stoneware Spirits Jug. Circa Late 19th Century. It is Rendered in a Classic "Beehive" Form - Shape. It has a Variable Sand Color Salt Glaze Exterior. The Front has a Beautiful Large Blue Hand Decorated Stylized Flower Design. It is Embossed with the Well Documented Makers Name of FRANK B. NORTON in WORCESTER MASSACHUSETTS. It is Also Embossed Number 2 Denoting its Two Gallon Storage Capacity. These type of Jugs were Commonly Used to Store a Variety of Liquids - Spirits - Liquor - Ciders - Vinegar - Spring Water Etc. It is in Very Good Strong - Sound and All Original Condition - Displays Beautifully. It has No Cracks - No Chips - No Repairs.
