Druva Rörstrand Porcelain Wine "Grape" Vase- a pair.
A truly regal and beautiful Porcelain pair of, "Grape", Rörstrand vases, dated around 1900. Wondrously detailed with blue wine leaves and grapes. Absolutely exquisite vases. They were made by the Swedish porcelain manufacturer Rörstrand in a pattern called "Druva". The vases background is a deep blue, close to Navy. It is decorated all over with small flowers, large leaves and clusters of grapes. The leaves, flowers and fruit are in varying shades of lighter and darker blues and touches of white. It is marked on the bottom "Druva" and stamped. Truly unique and rare.
Rörstrand was originally founded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1726 has been making fine porcelain and pottery for 280 years. There is a museum in Lidköping which features unique pieces produced by Rörstrand, along with many of their mass produced items.
