This antique 18th c. Italian Rococo armchair features c-scrolls, rocaille and foliate designs richly hand carved throughout, the deeply carved and pierced frame boasts a chic gilding with gold leaf and red undertones. The high back and the curved armrests are beyond decorative with the crest on top and its rocaille design and seat upholstered in beige damask with stretcher solid wood connecting the cabriolet legs strengthen the seating stability. Elegant and large, this solid gilt wood armchair with wide seat finished in gold gilding is decorative and sure to be a wonderful addition to any room especially in a library, study or office. Perfect structural condition, very good antique condition considering age and use, wonderful original patina and gold gilding. In our opinion some wear to the gilding does nothing but accentuates the character of this antique piece of furniture. less
