This rare complete 36 piece boxed set of Memphis Milano Post Modern designer collector's trading cards of the world famous Post Modernist design movement named " Memphis Milano Group " are an incredibly special and unique set to add to your collection.
Founded in Milan Italy by the Italian designer Ettore Sottsass in 1981. The Postmodern design movement group designed furniture, sculpture, lighting, fabrics, glass, ceramics, and metal decor objects. The group's design work often included mixed materials including plastic laminate and was characterized by ephemeral design featuring colorful decoration and asymmetrical shapes, sometimes arbitrarily alluding to exotic or earlier styles.
The rare complete 36 piece boxed set of collector's trading cards is printed in The United States by Ace Studios in 1995. It features 36 different original Memphis design group pieces created by Ettore Sottsass, Peter Shire, Michele De Lucchi, Michael Graves, Shiro Kuramata, Marco Zanini, Matteo Thun, Aldo Cibic, Martine Bedin, Javier Mariscal among others. The small scale trading card prints each have a different design piece on the card front side and information and details about that famous design work item on the reverse side.
Each trading card measures 2 3/4" W X 3 3/4" H. They are printed on high quality heavyweight paper stock with saturated deep vibrant ink colors with a satin finish. The 36 trading cards are enclosed in a 2 piece hard paper board protective slip case box. They are in perfect vintage condition and have never been used, and are now being offered here for an excellent price. less
