- Victorian era large scale gothic octagonal street lantern in cast bronze with 8 leaded glass sphere perforated panels and internal … more Victorian era large scale gothic octagonal street lantern in cast bronze with 8 leaded glass sphere perforated panels and internal components all original to the fixture, this rare piece of history was said to have been owned by one of the wealthier more powerful industrialist of the greater Chicago area, he had 6 of these lamps, giving one to each of his sons. Purchased in Denver from a friendly couple that were originally from Chicago. Apparently they had been holding onto the piece for over 40 years. Their story checked out, the newspaper that the glass had been wrapped in was dated two weeks before my birthday, Chicago suburb, 1980.
