This beautiful discontinued ceramic decor piece is from the Rimini Blu series by Aldo Londi for Bitossi Ceramiche and was molded and decorated by hand in a refractory white clay. It features manual carving of patterns onto the fresh clay, under an intense blue glaze.
Designed and created by master ceramist and sculptor Aldo Londi for Bitossi. Made in Italy.
The Bitossi company dates back to the latter part of the nineteenth century in Tuscany and
Bitossi Ceramiche continues to be a standard of excellence in artistic ceramics and design.
Master ceramist and sculptor Aldo Londi started working with the company in 1935. In 1946 he was appointed artistic director of Bitossi. His visionary creations helped establish Bitossi as a vanguard of Italian ceramic design and created a culture that emphasized superior quality and modern style.
