The Meiji Period ceramic bowl has a clear crackle glaze. The bowl's interior is artfully hand painted in polychrome enamel with wisteria vines, golden pheasant birds, and floral accents. The antique Japanese bowl's exterior is also adorned with wisteria sprays. The bowl has an intricate hand-painted design around the lobed rim and bottom border and gold gilt highlights through the design.

A very special and beautiful example of Meiji Era pottery, the ceramic bowl is in very good condition having no chips, cracks or breaks. The antique Japanese bowl is hallmarked on the bottom in gold and red.
