Was in storage for decades from a onetime shop; and is presumably an item never sold, based on the tag attached. Tag does say it is 16.5 inches tall, which is not - maybe that was for another version of Einstein statue. less

This statue of the "Father of Relativity" is marked as a 1962 product; and was found in a group of New Old Stock items, with an original tag.
The bronze scientist sculpture is ready for shelf or table sitting, this piece is about 11" tall and has great texture, especially in the lively hair.
Made of some composite, perhaps DURASTONE, which was a formulation of crushed stone. In the 1960s Austin Prod was based in Brooklyn NY; but it moved several more times and is no longer in business. Card lists James Gardner. less
