Here is a wonderful. petite/task lamp from the early 20th c., likely the 1920-30's. The base of the lamp is made from art glass that is swirled and shaped to look like agate stone. It has so much beautiful movement, in tans, browns, light grays. The lamp turns on/off with a push in switch at the socket, and it takes one standard bulb. The lamp is topped with a green paper shade that looks like leather, embossed with gold details. Super sweet and perfect for a desk, nightstand, bookcase, etc.
