Extremely RARE 1904 calendar by Eugene Grasset created for the prestigious French store, “la Belle Jardiniere”. The calendar features 4 designs, one for each of the 4 seasons. Grasset was one of the leading pioneers of the Art Nouveau movement in France who worked in many disciplines-interior design, jewelry, graphic arts, architecture, etc These chromolithographs are the epitome of his genius in the decorative arts genre. They are rich in detail, design, pattern, color, texture, architectural setting. Each signed by the artist in the lithograph stone. They are pristine! No markings of age. 10 x 15.5 inches in size. Each matted in custom 16 x 20 inch neutral tone mat.
