Get into the summertime swivel with Homecrest. Founded in the 1950s, Homecrest began as a retail furniture shop in Wadena, Minnesota, but jetted to Mid-Century Modern icon status when its co-founders Mert Bottemiller and Al Engelmann decided to design the patio furniture of their dreams. Originally, the plan was to build a better ottoman than what they had been seeing in the market, but one thing led to another, and before they knew it, they had expanded into manufacturing multiple collections of indoor and outdoor furniture. As more Americans began to enjoy al fresco dining and entertaining in their backyards, they flocked to Homecrest for outdoor furniture that emphasized quality, performance, and comfort. Homecrest developed new technologies like low-maintenance aluminum mesh and innovated fabrics to create lasting pieces that could withstand harsh weather conditions. By the 1960s, the core of Homecrest was their patented Swivel Rocker. Padded and chic, it's an obvious head-turner! It’s not every day that you’ll find a swivel chair created for the outdoors, much less one with such a timeless look. Another one of Homecrest’s famous chairs for outdoor use is their iconic Comfort Recliner, with a contoured shape for support while you lean back and relax. While their seating options are legendary, Homecrest tables are also a force to be reckoned with. Choose from round or square dining tables, or even coffee tables with their signature swivel technology. With Homecrest patio furniture in your backyard, you’ll find yourself making excuses spending more of your time outdoors.
